EFMSV Conference Presents the Outcomes of 3 Intertwining Events
The EFMSV Conference in October 2008 is not only the concluding conference of two preceding intertwining events, but aims also at providing an overall view of the outcomes of all three events to policy and decision makers.
The preceding events are:
- In April 2008, an Expert Group Meeting is going to be held in Munich in order to explore a potential research agenda for the linkage of climate change and environmental degradation, for migration and policy.
- The results and ideas of the Expert Group Meeting will be incorporated in the discussions at the Summer Academy in July, where PhD students and experts will further explore the subjects of environmentally forced migration, environmental change and social vulnerability.
At the EFMSV Conference the capacities from both preceding events will be presented, discussed and channeled into recommendations for policy makers.
